If you spend time in Raleigh, two more bonds are done. WUNC reports that the city's $101.5 million housing bond and $101.5 million transportation bond passed, along with Wake Tech's $149 million bond. Raleigh's won't raise property taxes, because the money comes from the city's Steady State fund.
In Knightdale, early voters favored a $55 million parks bond in the first results released Tuesday night. It would pay for a community center on a 33-acre parcel at 2004 Marks Creek Road. It would add 3.5 cents per $100 of assessed value in property tax, about $105 extra a year on a $300,000 home.
