A damaged transmission line left 35,000 Cary and Morrisville customers without power last Thursday after a tree fell during helicopter vegetation work, forcing community centers and a gas station to modify operations.
Duke Energy restored power by 8 p.m. and is investigating the incident + switching lines for faster service.
🏛️ Government
On Sept. 3, power outages forced several Town of Cary facilities to close or adjust schedules, canceling programs at the downtown park, senior center, community centers, arts center, and theater + drivers were advised to treat malfunctioning traffic signals as four-way stops and report issues to 311.
