About this event
Invoking ekphrasis, the poetic practice of responding to visual art, four poets and four visual artists came together to create nine new works in response to each other.
The project is a mix of the “telephone” game and the surrealist activity known as exquisite corpse. The result is Transmission: a body of work that begins and ends with a poem, with painters and poets responding to the poem or painting that came before their work.
