About this event
Bring a friend (or several!) for a casual picnic surrounded by other folks celebrating friendship.
We’re all about lowering the bar for what a friend hangout needs to look like. To channel that spirit (and to celebrate the end of Friendship Fest!), we’re throwing a bring-what-you-have picnic for friends of all types and all ages. Of course, we’ll have a few fun friendship-y activities in store for you too.
We’ll bring: Our community friendship poetry project if you want to contribute to it! We might have some free friendship zines! We’ll (hopefully have time to) set up a low-key photo booth so you can capture some pictures of you hugging your friend!
You bring: A friend (or friends) who you want to spend more time with, a blanket or chairs, and any snacks or drinks you desire.
Mostly we just want to be surrounded by other friends and revel in the joy of your love for each other.
This event will be co-hosted by Sam Amberg and Erin Greenawald, longtime friends and co-founders of Forevers, a project to help you deepen your friendships. It’s part of Friendship Fest, a four-day celebration of friendship in Raleigh-Durham.
