About this event
Presenting Sound System Seven, the Fourth-Wave Ska band from Raleigh - Durham - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, here to party with you tonight, Idrens, because the only GOOD system is a SOUND system!
Ska music is more than just Punk Rock with horns. It's the mother of Reggae music and continues to grow and evolve with roots deeply drawing from Jamaican, British, and American cultures.
Every kid who marched in the school band, from junior high to college, is a Ska music fan. Everyone who loves to dance is a Ska music fan, though some don't know it yet.
The energetic performance you'll experience at a Sound System Seven show is what sets this band apart from many others. Their original songs feature poignant lyrics written around timely ideas presented in fun ways that keep the audience engaged. The cover songs Sound System Seven performs are no less timely, poignant, and fun. Nothing on stage detracts or distracts from the clean and clear sound that makes you want to dance or collapse trying.
